MyBCTeam-The Social Network for Women Fighting Breast Cancer

I just became a member of the website MyBCTeam.com. Lots of sites out there to talk and blog on- but MyBCTeam seems to be a bit different.
The site’s goal is to build a social network to make it easier for women to connect with each other and exchange insights about providers, to make it easier to find providers and peers of women who have fought or are fighting breast cancer. You can share with other women like you, and learn from their experience.
I know firsthand, when you’re first diagnosed with Breast Cancer, you feel alone and don’t know how to disseminate all of the information that’s out there. I think this site can be very helpful to newly diagnosed women, women undergoing treatment and for us “survivors” who want to share with each other about how we are doing. As the site says, “Our philosophy is to make it easy get to answers you need, as well as the emotional support to get through treatment. Our goal is to have hundreds of thousands of teams over the next two years. We know we can’t do it alone. With the help of survivors and those recently diagnosed with breast cancer, we can quickly identify and grow the searchable MyBCTeam database to help the 1 in 8 women diagnosed with breast cancer sooner rather than later. You’re not alone and you shouldn’t have to reinvent the wheel.”
Within minutes of posting my story, I had six fellow survivors who had liked my story and joined my team. Check it out: www.MyBCTeam.com
There’s also a Partner page with some great organizations.
Have Fun and Enjoy!
