Breast Cancer Survivor- Three Year Anniversay

This time three years ago today Breast Cancer was just something I thought about once a year when I went to get my Mammogram. But on December 31st, 2010, my “Normal” would change forever.
I am coming up on my 3 year anniversary of having been diagnosed with Breast Cancer. My life has changed in a lot of ways, some good, some bad, but change none the less. I must confess that every ache and pain I have, I’m afraid it is “Cancer”- and am so relieved when I find out it’s not even remotely related. I guess, as one of my after surgery “therapists” told me, that I seem to be waiting for the next shoe to drop. maybe I always will be…
I do though, have a more patient and kinder outlook on life, and tend to be much more tolerant and try not to sweat the small stuff. Easier said than done at times- but well worth it at the end of the day.
I am here to enjoy my family, and have started a business with my son which is hopefully helping other women like myself who are faced with Breast Cancer and fighting the fight to make it through each day.
Here’s to 2014 and to my future 4 year Survivorship anniversary!
