BRCA Genetic Test for Breast Cancer followed by BART test?

There’s been a lot of press about Angelina Jolie and bracing for the Boom in Genetic Testing. Victoria Colliver with the San Francisco Chronicle writes: “It’s being called the Angelina effect. Health experts expect to see increased numbers of women…seeking genetic counseling.”

According to health professionals, only 1 in ten women who have a strong family history test positive for the BRCA gene. My mother and three aunts had breast cancer, and my cousin (who’s mother died of BC) just had the test and it came back negative. Really surprising- but now her doctor has suggested she take the BART follow up test. I had never heard of this test- here is what I found:

“The BART Analysis detects that small portion of patients who tested BRCA negative but who are actually BRCA positive based on the different process used with the BART.”

Has anyone out there had the follow up BART test following a negative BRCA?
